the tranny swap was successful ..for a good month or so. I have a 92 se with a 25k mannual tranny swapped in myself. everything was great until it didn't start, but dont fear, i built a push button start that i use with the key. so all was good till last night.
I was donig deliveries...btw...this 240 is a super hicas model...which means awesome lsd (or at least better than normal) but bad 4 wheel steering. so first question. After removing the auto tranny...the hicas light has never come back on...did we cut the hicas system off? do the wheels still move in the rear? is the light just out? Next, i went to the beach, a good 3.5 hr trip...and when i got there, there was oil all over the tail of my car, lots of oil, i have to add oil like once a week now. then last night, after heavy rainfall durring delivieries...the car wouldn't start. i smelled fuel after cranking it over several times... is it just the water? the button start was doing its job, it just wouldn't actually start, its not the starter, did that a couple weeks ago, its not battery, battery is strong. hopefully just a water thing? no clue on that.
