I own an '89 nissan 240sx hatchback and i got it dirt cheap ($100 ) and its not turning on. the previous owner didnt tell me whats wrong with it. It turns over but not starting and i changed the spark plugs and cables. Theres gas going in the engine and the spark plugs spark but the car doesnt turn on. What could be the problem? I know u guys can help me with this

well from reading and consulting with a few friends.
heres a list...
1 timing could be off
2 wrong firing order
3 fule injectors could be bad
4 distributer coil could be bad
5 chance with CPU (AF ratio)
6 is the clutch down? lol just incase....
7 alternator fuse
8 bad ground

those are some things to think about..
with number six, not to call you dumb, but i have known a few that have tried to start manuals with the clutch not down! sorry.

p.s. the car is not stick plus i kno to push the clutch down lol

and what do u mean by LHD 240sx? wat does LHD stand for?

LHD Stands for = Left Hand Drive

btw hey make sure that the fuel pump is working .Check ur compression ,battery is it dead? fuel filter make sure is not clogged !,Check the MAF sensor ,make sure that thing works!
Make sure every sensor on the MAF and everything else on the car is plugged!.See if the ECU give u any codes that may help.

not to mention to check u'r hoses... make sure u don't have a vacume leak... had one of those on my 91 240sx.... fixed the prob.. and doin good up till a few days back... if u read my thread i posted earlier u'd understand...

oh... and my brother bought my car for 100 bucks.. i put in a 35 dollar starter and drove it off the guys lot... when she started u should have see that guy walk inside and slam that door... so far the only thing i put in it since then is a clutch. and spark plugs.. that's it....
