time for project updates...

Hey guys I want to know where you all stand in your projects. I know Wikd and Vinnie and a few others were doing some na builds.. I want to know where you are at!
I got sidetracked in my project as I bought a new 240 coupe and am still working on getting it running not so crappy to use as a daily so I can build my spare blocks past the current bolt ons..

Project 240sx I have put 5 grand in cash into it so far, I'm still looking for a block that is cheap so that I can bore out, only looking to spend $100 on a crap core, if any one has one in the bay area P.M me and I'll pick it up. Once the swap is ready I'm going to do my own head porting.
I'm also going to try what is called the swap a roo on my 91KA exhaust cam on intake, and intake cam on exhaust. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Project 510 is on the fritz and I am low on money for this project, when I do get the cash it is so intricate with the timing chain assembly I might just have devious KA put the race prep engine together for me. It's a zengine frankenstien with a KA DE head, this project might go boosted.
Hoping to have time to finish a intake mani for the de, I just hope work slows down in the construction biz so I would have more time......

after 3 months of owning mine i still haven't decided on rb20 or KA-t. i want 300hp but don't want to build the engine right now(RB wins). on the other hand, there's a local that will trade me a 90 240sx with 96 KA and a bunch of turbo parts for my altima. don't know which to do.

I may trade the guy anyway.

my car is sitting and not running. I was having problems with starting it in hot weather and now it won't start at all. Had the starter checked and it passed. Battery is good. Changed the fuel pump. I don't want to spend the money for a starter, but the guy with a 1997 KA24DE motor keeps flaking on me. I don't know if he is still holding on to the motor for me, so I think I might just have to buy a starter.
Read up on why it won't start and tried different methods, but no luck. The symptom of the car seem to be the starter(maybe the solenoid is dying).
*sigh* hopefully tomorrow they have a starter in stock.

anyone know if I have to use the same exact starter or can I use a different manufacturer? The starter off my car is a daihatsu brand, but stores carry mitsubishi and daihatsu.
