quick question about adjusting the timing by the distributor cap... i know on hondas turning the cap retards and advances but on nissans which way do i turn? i have a ka24de

 

It depends on if you need to advance or retard it. Check it & adjust it until it's right. You only have about 1/2" to work with.

Adjusting timing with the distributor is the same on any vehicle. Just the steps you have to take to get the right timing are different. But turning the dist. either adv or retards it.
