Question Weird Leakage?!?!?!

Ok, Today when I did a sharp turn into my drive way I noticed a nice little "fluid" trail after i got out of my car. I traced it to my car, (lucky me) so I investigated the leaking fluid. I could not find any leakage from the radiator then i hear it, the dripping! Its coming from the back of the engine bay, on the firewall! Its this hose coming out of it, dripping! I never payed attention to this before but does anyone know what the hell its for and if the leaking is normal? Theres no leaking from the engine at all, just from this hose thats pointing down from the firewall!

I searched the forum but only found bad radiators, hoses and head gaskets. So does anyone know? thanx.

Couldn't tell the color because it was on the street but it smelled like coolant. All i know is that it was coming from the hose on the firewall. Does anyone know what it is why it leaks?
Here's a pic:

The heater core? All I know is that the heating and cooling systems are next to each other under the dash. So I'm pretty much assuming is H2O.

most likely, thats what that hose is for, when the condensation builds up it drips out the hose..
