What Size Exhaust should I put on my S14?

Well I wanna put an exhaust on my s14 but i don't know what to do. Should i go cheap and get straight piping? If I get straight piping should i put a resonator on too? Or should i get a catback. Most of all. What size should I get? I heard 3in was too big and that i should get 2 1/2 in. I just don't know give me some advice.

Okay, heres the deal. It has been covered many thousands of times on this forum alone. I could flame you and do all that, but thats pointless.

The end result we all came up with is as long as its at least 2.5" youre improving flow and increasing horsepower. If you want 3" its louder, and wont improve much over the 2.5" exhaust nor will it hurt much. If you have the need for 3" (i.e. turbo, high hp NA) then thats what you should go for.

Resonators help hush up the exhaust a bit. Depending on where you live and how much noise you can tolerate, resonators may be highly neccessary.

i would go 3 inch if you plan on going turbo in the future...just so you wouldn't have to rebuy exhaust when you turbo....but if you're just planning to have a daily driven NA with a few goodies, i would go for 2.5 inch....3 inch is loud as hell unless you go for rsr exmag or blitz tt

Make sure you check your local laws regarding exhaust before you go ahead and purchase too... know just what factors will get you a ticket and do your best to avoid them!

id go 3, have 3 and happy with it.

ebay or name brand doesnt matter, more than likely its not going to be raspy. ive heard quite a few ebay exhaust on my freinds 240s. KA and SR sounds just as god as name brand ****
