Ok i bought my car with no maf and the maf harness cut, my car is a 5 spd. The car starts up fine and idles ok but it has no MAF or intake so of course i got to get that on there.. so i buy a maf and harness of of an auto s14 i get the harness on today, i pluggged the maf in and the car doesnt idle and the check engine light is still on (i had the battery off for about an 1 hour so im pretty sure the ECU was reset) So i unplug the MAF and the car turns on , the cel is on but the car idles, turn the car off, put maf back on, and no idle?? So what can be worng with the maf? It came of an auto .. could it be that the auto have a different fuel pattern or something and the inj flow less on them? There is no intake on still i just have one small tube on the tb and then there i put the MAF with no filter or any of those emissions hoses plugged in. Could it be it wont idle because of that?? I really need to know asap i am tottally car-less and i dont think i can spend anymore time w/o a car. If anyone can help me please do so and thanks you very much!!
