whats wrong with my ka?

just bought a 92 coupe about a month ago and ive been slow to start working on it but i figured bfore i buy a new motor maybe i should find out whats wrong with the one i got. the car does run its an automatic which will be changed over very soon to 5 speed. but anyways...itll start up and the idle is very roughat about 1000rpm's, the engine has a lot of movement (maybe bad mounts). but then when i put it into drive the idle drops to about 500 rpm's. then when i drive the car iff i let off the gas it stalls out. im not too sure what could be wrong. i was thinking the idle might have somethign to do with vacuum but that wouldnt make it stall out when driving i dont think but i could be wrong. for the most part im clueless as to what to do or what to look for. can anyone help me out???

How about you start with a full tune up (oil change, cap, rotor, plugs, wires), change the filters (air and don't forget fuel filter), then reset the ECU, set timing and adjust your idle screw.

Come back after that's all done - if there's other problems after that, let us know so we can help out more
