Where to get a stock KA24DE motor

I have been curious about the KA24DE motor as our project car has a SOHC KA24E motor. I assume the DE has more ponies
but I cant find any KA24DE motors to swap. I see the SR20 and motor swaps allover the place I Dont want to do the SR20 Swap.
I do want to replace the SOHC that is currently in the car with the 2.4 DOHC. and then maybe go for a turbo setup as there are allot more parts available for it. So Where to I locate a KA24DE motor? Does anyone here have one that they took out to do the SR20 Swap and if so would you want to get rid of it?
Am I correct in assuming that the Altima motor is what I am looking for (But its a FWD >>>>??A little confused....
Thanks

SR20 has more parts avaiable for it than KA.

But you can find them in the classified. Go check other forums as well.

I got mine through a local junk yard from, they just searched and fround one for me. I put down a deposite and when it they got it, I paid for it and picked it up.

I believe there is a GReddy tubo kit that can be modified for the KA24DE motor, I read a bout it in some tuner magazine. It look like a nice set up. A lot of people are doing SR20 swaps, so be unique and go for that KA24DE DOHC swap, that's what I'm doing on my 91. It's still in the shop, but I hoping to get it out soon. I can hardly wait. YEAH!!!

Check your local junk yard for an engine......I found about 6 engines on friday in my area so there are plenty out there but most of the ones you find will be with an A/T and the wiring harness is different......trust me i know....i'm in the middle of the same swap myself. you'll have to remount your power steering resovoir and get power steering lines from a 92 to 94 and the wiring harness 's are slightly different............I'm stuck on the wiring...I was also told you'll need a tach from a dual cam to make it work.........as far as turbo ing it check either the Jan or Feb issue of "sport compact car magazine" it has an artical about doing a turbo install on a ka24de
