I understand with Raj and him being worried about the SR. But for everybody else......C'MON! So what if its 130 miles?? I drive that every time I go to Etown or Jerzee to meet up with ppl. My car is still running fine. Whats everyone worried about, we'll all be rolling together. I say we all meet up at Alley Pond park, as its right there by the Clearview Expwy and will bring us right to the Throgs Neck Bridge. Lets do this fellas....

A couple questions, how long are we going to be in CT for? And, what's lined up for that day, other than bbq?

 

isn't it suppose to be close if taking the whitestone instead ?

 

is the sr not reliable on 100+ mile rides? if so that sucks!

 

Its reliable... i daily drive mine everyday and have put 17k on the motor so far. You shouldnt have anything to worry about Raj.

I think we should all be at the park for like 9:30 or so. This way incase we run into traffic it'll be alright.

Also some NJ guys need some directions to the park, and so do I? so if others that have been there, can tell us exactly where its at that is cool. Thanks.

 

thanks for the support guys and Josh for the ride offer. Josh you have mail. I'll try to get a day off from work and try to see if i can fix whatever that rattling noise is thats making me nervous and uneasy. If i can get it resolved I'll be riding high with you guys. BUt as far as Alley Pond Park, lets do this. There is a parking lot over there on 76th Ave and Springfield BLVD. Its off the main road so we can chill there till we get everyone together, no rush.
Here are directions, let me know if this location is suitable
FROM L.I.
-Take the Northern State PKWY into Queens
-Get off at Union Turnpike Exit.
-Make Left ( you wanna be heading west)and go down to Springfieled BLVD
-Make right (heading north) and follow road less than 1/4 mile.
-Right where the road curves out to the left, 76 Ave shoots out to the right
-Make that right and about 50 yards in is the entrance to the parking lot.

FROM BROOKLYN

-BQE to LIE East
-Get off at the Springfield BLVD exit.
-Go to the traffic light and make a right ( you wanna be heading south).
-Go straight down, and after road curves out the left, you will see 76 Ave shoot off to the left.
-Make left and entrance to lot is on left, 150 yards down.
