240sx handling vs other cars

hey i was wondering... since the 240 is known for its rwd and suspension i wanted to compare it to some other rwd cars... say the rx 7 which gen is the best and how is it compared to the 240sx... and then comes the is300.... kinda heavy but i wanted to know if its anygood against the 240. my 240sx takes forever to go through 2nd gear and proly 3rd too ... fuel filter... plugs.. or what... i dont know... and the se has sports tuned suspension... how much difference does it make with the base model 240sxs.... and last of all stock 240 vs stock is300(year 2000) drag race road race suspension comparison(handling) dont be baised .... i want some honest truth...

First of all...stock IS and stock 240 isnt even a race. The IS will kill it. Now say againts a RX7, we will pick the late model FC. Both are equal...for the most part. FC will have more power, but don't know if it will handle like the 240. the base and SE suspension arent that drastically different, stiffer springs I believe...dont know about shocks.

the 2nd generation RX7's have a lot stiffer suspension. I've got an 86, and it will handle my 240 in the corners. its lighter, stiffer, and sits a lot lower. almost stiff to the point of being uncomfortable on the road. as for power on the FC, they are almost the same, the 240 has more torque. only real difference is that the FC can pull gears out longer as it has a higher redline.

i c... i was just trying to explain my n00b friend that is300 is not that great... he was saying it would out handle a 240 and rx 7 anyday... and then i said i dont think they would make a 250 hp twin turbo with ****y suspension... and then i said if my 240sx was new then it would proly handle better than the is300 because it was lighter... i dont know ... i never drove a is300 but he has and he s like i ll try taking some turns that i take with my is300 with ur 240sx and we ll see if it handles better... and i said get lost cause no one is touching the 240 :-)

Yeah, Don't let anyone touch your 240. The only person who's driven my car was my friend, and that's cause he test drove it and cause he drifts his Bimmer, so I trust his driving.

I haven't really pushed the 240, but the thing it really seems to be lacking is power. I'll hopefully solve that problem with a rb or a sr swap, but I'm pretty sure right now my prelude could outhandle and it's fwd. I got tein ha coilovers, spoon rear strut, neuspeed front strut, progress rear sway, and a bunch of other goodies, so I guess it comes down to money invested.

I'll get back to you once I get all this matience done and let you know
