We have to decide where this thing is going to happen before we start to talk to businesses.

Hotels can be contacted later. They are easy.

It will be nice to contact dealerships to see if they have any interest in hosting a meet. Thing is I don't know if they would want to travel out to a track unless there was a commitment from us stating that X amount of people will show up.

They need to know what they will get out of this meet.

Local shops will be a bit easier because most of us are on a one to one basis with the employees and some owners.

The shops will come.

Where is this thing going to be held?

We will work triple hard on two sites while risking no finished product.

I think E-Town would be great. How is that little autoX track they have there. Never really got a good look at it. It seems decent. With the drag right there too, ppl could choose one or both events. Maybe a dyno could be set up as well for runs. I honestly can't think of another place at the moment. I know everyone has seen Speed Channel, where they have shows about classic cars, notice how they have all the cars parked on the grass. Maybe we could have it at a park of some sorts, with a dyno machine setup too. I agree that the basic structure of the event needs to be in place first, then we should contact the delearships. Shops also can be put together rather quickly due to most of us having some sort of contact with one on a regular basis.

just a suggestion, you should make this a sticky and put it in 'off topic' or another thread that gets more traffic.

I like the multi-day event, kinda like a NOPI supershow for the northeast, only all Nissans, kick ***. I'll see if I can find someone with a portable dyno like the ones they used at NOPI, in case you guys wanna pursue that option. i think that if guys are gonna be coming down from Canada and all up an down the coast, it should b a two day event so that it makes the trip worthwhile. if its at all possible, then lets do it. But a multi day show is only as good as the number of cars there and the number of events available to the patrons. can't be doing the same thing all day for two days, gets boring. We need ideas for what to do at the event. Dyno contest is good, burnout contest if we can, autox, 1/4 mile runs, car show. Hey, can we have a bikini contest, or something to crown a Ms. Nissan or something. I think that would be fun to watch. I'm out another $0.02, thanks

The multi-day option is the best for ppl coming long distances. The days should be split up into performance one day, then show and dyno runs the next. The whole Ms. Nissan bit....I like a lot. I think that would rock.

ok, sorry folks, but i gotta push this Ms. Nissan issue. We should have a bikini contest or something, and have a Ms. Nissan Meet 2003, a Ms. The Big Meet, something, anything. Push this along, I'll run the contest and gather the judges from our board here. I think one representative from each region would be nice. and NO MEATING OF THE ENTRANTS BEFOREHAND, if you get my drift.

sorry, but Ms. The Big Meet sounds like some 400 pound nasty, hairy, sweaty chick. i'd look into a different name.
