way too much work has gone into this for it to be a joke. although in a way that pic you posted almost looks like it would work. it's this one that shocked me the most. that's not to say that the rest are any more promising.

well from reading.. its seems that Older V8's utilized this method. i have personally in my years never seen it.

the clutch job was freaking funny

i'd say shocking is more appropriate. the worst part of it all is that from what i've seen this guy actually has a shop and access to many costly tools. if this was some kid doing this ion his parents garage i wouldn't be the least bit surprised. something tells me he wasn't wearing a respirator when he was painting everything in sight too.

the best i can figure based on other methods that i've seen would be that he did that to increasing in coming air velocity and allow for better fuel atomizing. that or he's trying to increase displacement. either way like said earlier, that almost looks like it would work there are things far worse than that on the engine.
