Unhappy i cant believe this just happened!

so i was sitting inside talking to my mom when i hear this loud bang sound like someone ran their car into our garage door. i go outside and theres no damage to the garage at all, no cars around, no kids around that couldve thrown anything at it, so i go in the garage and look at the garage and nothings wrong. i was barefoot out there n stepped on something, which ended up being a small part of the spring from our garage! somehow it broke when the garage was closed, somehow made a big bang sound, and now we cant even open the garage! we did everything we could, but it will not open even manually. my car and my stepdad's cars are in the garage and everyone works tomorrow and the only person that can go to work as of now is my mom.....sorry for the longness, but it really sucks that my car is stuck in the garage.

i had a feeling i shouldve parked in the driveway

Wow. How the heck does this happen? I love garages and all, but if this were to happen to me, I'd be pissed!

Is there any way you could contact the builders or something? Maybe get a new spring?
