i dont consider him club music, thats like lil john and 50cent style..they dont rap about **** but hoes and rims..rap isnt about rhymes to me, its about a good use of metaphors and making things come together without clearly stating it..something lil wayne is really good at, i got mad respect for kanye, lil wayne, common, lupe, pharrell, john legend, ect..but i lika lot of other music too, just not counrty..that **** is horrible.
welll ruix i was not talking about his lyrics at all.. im more so talking about the beats, he has been in the rap game as far as beats for a LONG time.

Damn straight, all these punk *** *****es just rapping about how much money they have. Then people pay them more money to listen to them brag about their money. Old school Dre, NWA, Snoop Doggy Dogg (yeah thats right), hell even Eminem, and now Lupe Fiasco, they rap stories and they rap about things other than their wealth or how fricken awesome they are. I like Kanye's beats, I just think he's a little arrogant and bigoted sometimes. He still has skill though.

yea rap n techno are about mostyl what i listen too as well, and like jramosthe1st! said, most the techno i listen too i dont know who its by either, i just know i like it...of course i like a lot of the mainstream ones too though
im a big paul okenfold listener myself.
however its good to be well rounded. becuase all girls like some type of music and thats one thing you guys can talk about all night and then sex and happen the next day or that night if you know enough about different genres of music.

Im glad we all agree that Kanye is horrible at rapping. His metaphors suck too. By rhyme I mean flow which is the over all style.
And Sorry Brian, lil Weezy/Wayne/Birdman Jr/ what ever the **** his name is, isn't that dope either.
But I do have mad respect for Common Sense, his old ish at least.
I am with Donny on this, Older Hip Hop is so much better than what is out today. 95% of the **** on the radio that is "Hip Hop" is garbage.
The Last HH CD I bought was in 1998 also.

i hate lil wayne/birdman/anyone who ****en raps about getting ***** and kiling people all day.
as for r&b and hip hop. Its all about john legend. He is AWESOME. I like pharrell and N.E.R.D too.
and i like alternative...coldplay/cold war kids/ the fray/ james blunt. There all really good.
and techno...its what ever sounds great but i like benny benassi.
and classical and most symphonys. lol
