i just got around to watching it on youtube, and if anything it just helped solidify my belief that some artists (most) should only do albums and forgo the music vid.

everyone has there own taste, thats why there is alot out there....but i guess i was just blessed with better taste than the average person

 

ha well as far as music vids. some try to hard to get that image of the song out and other just have very bad producers and or budget or to many ideas.

Anyhow, I listen to RHCP, Beatles, Zep, Sublime, Counting Crows, Dispatch, Police, smashing pumpkins...anything good.

lots of younger dudes are all about this new wave of hip hop and older artist such as Nas, Wu, Mobb deep etc have all took a step back becuase they refuse to go commercial, but at the same time they still got bills to pay so you see them here and there.

I've heard some of that stupid as "gangsta grillz" stuff and his other stuff man, and he is garbage. I will give him credit for having some nice word play, but his content is not there, he's talking about the same old stuff all the time, no actual meaning to anything.

Lil' Jon may make some nice beats and produce some hot tracks, but I'm not a fan of most of his solo ****, again too much of the same old stuff. Yelling "Yeah", "What", and "Ok" get kind of repetitive after awile, and again the content is just not there.

Also, I might add I do actually own both a Lil' Jon and Lil' Wayne CD, and I have family members who do still listen to them, so I do hear most of their newer stuff, so don't think I'm just bashing because I don't like rap. Truth is, I do like rap, I like Hip-Hop, I just like stuff that has a little more content than rims, cash, and hoes. What good is a lyricists wordplay if his lyrical content is bland, unoriginal, and pointless...

All of this is my personal opinion, I am in no way stating this to start an argument or quarrel, I am stating my opinions and this disclaimer in hopes of keeping this a civilized discussion.
