R33 siting

Heh...saw this nice R33 the other day, and just had to stop and take pictures. I think the R32 is a much nicer looking car, but this is the first time I've ever seen a real skyline. I was stoked...there aren't any good imports in this town, just a ton of ricers. It's rare to see a true performance import, especially something exclusive to JDM. So here are the pics:

One thing I've always wondered, are Japanese and US license plates the same size? I hope the owner doesn't care about me taking pictures of his/her car and then posting them on the internet...

Yeah idunno what's up with the front bumper. Must have lost control of the car and hit something, haha. And as far as the license plate goes, I can't see it on my monitor so I didn't bother erasing the front one. But I'll do it now. I can't figure out what's written on the intercooler...it looks like VR, but then it could be some japanese characters.

Well there is no racing scene in this town...unless you call riced out civics and eclipses weaving through traffic "racing". I was sooo surprised to see this thing, I almost did a double take when I first saw it. It was enough to make me turn back around and take pictures. It was at a car audio shop, I'm sure the guy knew the owner, or maybe was the owner...I wonder if it'll be up for sale? I can't figure why they'd park it out front in the grass like that elsewise. Maybe just to draw attention...certainly did that!

How can you tell the difference? Not really familiar with skylines.

I see...definitely not the BCNR then. I guess that would make it a GTS2.5t / LSTS25t type M. Unless it's a GTS-4 with a turbo conversion...jeez, I didn't realize there were so many different chassis codes for these cars! I don't much care for the look of the front end on the GT-R, it looks like a Sentra. As a side note, they sure are light (3388lbs. curb weight) for an AWD vehicle.
