atually after shooting my buddies 1911 all day i figure im not too much of a pistol man i like rifles more. i may buy another pistol down the road but im actually going to buy a rifle next
i really like to Saiga .308
here it is in its stock form

but i would modify it to be more like this

also saw the review from nuthinfancy and its actually quite acurate but downfall would be weight and that is dosnt come with a muzzle flash but i love the gun

that's not bad considering that the cheapest ak clone i was able to find was a used romanian wasr 10 which sold for $550. so for about $50 less i was able to get the closest thing to a real ak, and by that i mean that it's made in russia by the same people who have been making genuine ak's.
i too tend to shy away from hand guns that cost more than a rifle would, but i also want something i can carry all or most of the time. as for 1911's, rock island makes some decent 1911's that are not pretty nor light, but they are fairly cheap and well built from what i've been told. the only problem i have with most 1911's is that they are a full size pistol but only hold 8 rounds.
nah Saiga's are considered true AKs not clones because they were designed by Kalashnikov him self and are made in the Izmash factory.
but yea so far i love my Saiga 12 i cant wait to get the .308

in an attempt to keep this place alive, and in case anyone was wounding, yes i did get a speed loader for my revolver. although in this case speed loader is more of an oxymoron.

the speed loader rubs on the grip, making is difficult to remove one the rounds have entered the cylinders. so if anyone decide to get a 605 save yourself some money and don't buy a speed loader. or at lest not this kind. the strip type might work better for this particular model.

.22LR SURVIVAL RIFLE?! Say WHAT?!
Oh man! Crazy, I know . . . but yeah . . . I didn't think I'd see the day either but either S&W know what they're doing (along with Keltec) or technology is making leaps and bounds. If that's the case, I know what I'm getting for my Zombie Apocalypse weapon! I know Ramos and Adam are gonna be interested in watching that video. I watched the whole thing . . .TWICE! Yeah . . .two times . . .I didn't believe it but after watching it, I can see using this to save the life of myself or others . . .after all . . .a well placed round (which you can probably do very easily with this weapon) will kill a zombie the same way a .45 will!
Speaking of which!
Ramos . . .DUDE, that's sweet! Give us the details on it!
here's how i see it. .22's are fun, cheap to shoot, and while a well places slug of any caliber can be effective, a .22 would not be what i would consider a survive rifle. sure if i had money to burn i'd probably would get one. but for the price of the s&w i'd rather spend a bit more and get an ar.
the 1911 is a taurus, i got it as a birthday present. i wasn't going to spend any more this year on guns or ammo but it was my birthday so i couldn't resist. here's a better picture of it. if you look closely you can see the gold lettering on all three.

you hit something with a .308 and its going down.... you hit a moose with a .22 and well its probably going to come and kill you
speaking of large caliber rifles, i found this table top review to be quite informative.
