becuase i don't like AWD. and i want the body of an GT-R. ill get rid of the attessa ets system and all its components and make a well balanced FR car.

it will be a very easy process becuase ill have acces to gts-t's to get the front sub frame etc.

As a former Motorexed Skyline owner and one who has looked into the other ways of getting one, here is my input:

As almost all of you know, Motorex is gone and even what they were doing was not fully legal. The government was nice enough not to punish the people who purchased their cars though, so ever car that went through them is legal.

Now for the other ways. Some states have loose laws on parts for assembly vehicles where you register it with the state, get a state vin and title, and insure it. These generally came in in parts and show proof of assembly here. While the state may be OK with this, this is still not federally legal, so there is still some risk. Another way another company just started doing it is buying skylines in japan, completely stripping them there and remanufacturing them under their own name in japan as a kit car chasis with no engine much like buying Noble M12. This is technically legal, however the second you put a non US approved engine in it, it will no longer pass CA smog and is as illegal as an non US engine swap. Same goes for the Noble when using the twin turbo ford v6 they are made for. Then there is the last way people do it where they questionably import a full car and register it as something else, run tags from something else, or use dealer/transporter tags. This is a good way to loose your car and have it end up in the crusher in additiona to possible legal penalties

If you want to buy a skyline and drive it on the street, never buy one that sounds fishy or does not have all the require US paperwork and so on. Its a high exposure car that the US goverment does not like.
