so i blew some dust off my....

So today I decide its been awhile since my camaro did anything other than switch spots in the driveway since June or August,,, so i grabbed some tools and dicked around with a few things, and took her out cruising tonight,,, I totally forgot what its like to have 5,7L of american muscle pushing you around, wow... so im gonna start playing around with the camaro now too,,, ummm yah, American muscle = fun

cruising on the freeway at about 65 around 1800 RPM I mash the pedal, and it pulls steadily all the way until I start to get scared and afraid im gonna die if i go faster, so i let off the gas around 3k RPM thinking (whats 5k like?) man, I cant believe i let her sit like that for so long,,

holy signature take up 2/3 the screen batman!
I loved my buddies 89 camaro, those were so much fun, great cars before they made them into the boats they are today. Although I wouldn't mind taking a new SS for a ride.

what I WANTED to do with the 87 was put an LT1 and a 6 speed in it, but since its registered to my Dad, and I still live at home with my mom, they didnt like the idea of me putting money into it because it wasnt "worth it"... what do they know???

so instead im hookin up my 240 for now

thats not such a bad thing, 240 goes sideways, camaro won't so well, heh. Anyone can make a car go fast in a straight line, take my crx and 2K and you can have a 14 second car.

I have had bad experiences with domestics, in my experiences everytime you spend money on a mod you will end up spending double that on a repair. Not worth it IMO!! And i am willing to sacrafice a little speed for way more reliability.

That's exactly why I bought my own car in the first place (after saving my hard earned money working through high school)... whenever the mother had a comment about me in the garage putting new stuff on, the quick and easy response from my dad was "it's his car"

CRX and 2K for 14's Doc? Man my SE-R hit 13's with about 1.2k!

see. Hondas SUCK IT

LOL

not starting a domestic vs import argument here... but the comment about reliability hasnt really been an issue with any of my domestics,

first car : 83 monte carlo SS with like 250k miles on it,,, I drove it for a year and changed the oil once, drove the crap out of it, and it was still running strong when I moved up to my camaro...

camaro has broken down a few times, but only the time when the alternator went bad could I not blame myself... every other time something went wrong I could trace it back to something I did wrong, until I broke the torque arm mount, thats what im working on right now, that just went out with time like the alternator.
one time the power steering pump just fell off while I was goin down the freeway, so I spent like 2 weeks with no power steering, that was a PITA! but my fault for not tightening the mounting bolts

and the camaro does go sideways... hehe

As a kid I always wanted a GT-350, even if it was older than me... and this was way before Nicholas Cage was stealing them
