Stalking your prey

Its always important to chose your prey wisely. Ran across a beutiful yellow Evo7 RS model today on the way to the shop. It took some prompting but eventually he gave in and gave me a run up to about 100mph before ending it. Great car and the owner was pretty cool. Ended up pulling over to look over the Evo. Wish I had $24K to blow.

Uhhh lets not talk about those idiots at Misawa. Seems like the holding area for the US Air Forces Village Idiots. I'm just doing the long term visit thing. I'll be out of this place in December and headed back to my old job in Maryland. Shipping the GTI-R back for race only to use for auto-x.

I take it then your referring to Alf and Rob. Alf's FC only had 520whp when he dyno'd it and it ran a mid 10. Rob seems to have dropped out of the car thing and bought a Pajero and last I heard a Harley. The FC's tranny is a HKS unit also. The bulk of that place have the intelligence of a 12yr old. I can count the few who I associate with with just my ten fingers. No need to kick off a shoe to count any others as of yet.

So how was the race? Were you guys head to head? Was the EVO stock?

hahaha...$24K...hmmmm...

You guys here about it coming here? I guess its this coming fall. But the price is supposed to be ~$30K. Not sure about the HP ratings. My guess would be that the EVO will come here with around 240-250HP. Change the exhaust, remove the 2-3 cats it will come with and put an intake and you'll be at 300HP.

Couldn't line up because its a mountain road but the headlight flash and some prompting works. The Evo was running basic bolt ons under the hood like a air filter and that kind of stuff. I like to test the Evo7's cause guys are running 1.4Bar on them with nothing more then a boost controller. The stock injecotrs, fuel pump and everything else is built to handle it. So you never know when you are going to catch a Evo7 running 20lbs of boost.
