video camera questions...HELP!!!!!

hey everyone... i was wundeing if someone could help me out with this... i have video of my buddys RX7 pushing 600hp.. and i really want to get it on the computer some how... but i dont know how to do it.. if someone knows please help me.... thanks aton....

Do you have Windows ME, XP?

Is it a digital Hi8 or MiniDV camera or is it analog?

Do you have a firewire port/card and/or a capture card?

Do you have any capture software?

What you'll need to accomplish this (assuming it's an analog tape) is a video capture card for your PC. Usually they come with software and cables, but there are no guarantees that it'll work well/at all. My dad bought a $200 video capture card and the software that it came with caused ridiculous problems with our PCs.
