I've been a big fan of Inuyasha until the last episode (lame *** ending). I called it my Japanese soap opera.

Also Neon Genesis Evangelion. It seriously depressed me for the whole summer as i watched it over and over in english dub and the remastered english sub. It's a freaky series

english dub ftl

also inuyasha isnt over they stopped making the anime cause they werent making enough money in japan but at the last episode they basicly say thanks for watching but the story isnt over go read the manga.

also you cant compare old american toons to anime they are two different animals.

old american toons had no story and were ment to be funny and for children.

most anime have stories about everything and anything some have very very deep story lines id say you can compare anime to popular american tv shows like smallville and grey's anatomy but not to old american toons just cause they are both animated dosnt mean they are in the same class

I don't have time to watch as much anime as I used to (even then not that much). But I started off with Akira. Then moved forward with Ninja Scroll, and Princess Mononoke and on and on.

Favorite Series: Vision of Escaflowne
Favorite Movie: Princess Mononoke, but Miyazaki is awesome, so more from him.
Metropolis was awesome, I love how they made it, and the style.

Plus you can't like anime and not like Neon Genesis...

as of right now i have really been keeping up with Naruto Shippuuden and Bleach. a series that i could go back and watch over many times is Full Metal Alchemist. I haven't really had too much time to look into any new anime but i guess i may go check out the site that battosaii recommended.

I've sat up the last couple of nights and watched a couple of episodes of "Bleach" on Cartoon Network, seems pretty good. I think I'll start watching every night.
