a 91 240sx hatchback with 150 thousand miles on the body nd only 50 thousand on the motor, red, good body no major dents or scrathces, new clutch, 05 tags, clean title, the family are all the 3 owners. the only bad thing is the vavles click and its got a blown headgasket. i called around some shops and they said they could change it for 400. is there ussally somethin else wrong when the headgasket is blown cause i heard you need to like mill the head and change the thremostat etc etc. the gurl said i could have it for 500 bucks. any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you planning on doing a motor swap soon? The engine doesn't sound like it has much life in it...valve ticking is never good.
Unless that could be the chain tensioner rattling.

 

sorry cant get any pics, its like an hour away and nobody wants to drive me that far just for pics, but how much could i get a motor for? just a regular k24

 

if they tell you they need to mill the head, the heads warped, dont even bother with it, buy another ka for like 300

 

you can get a ka for 275-600 or so.

 

cool, but how hard is it to swap the motors? ive done some work on honda motors but thats about it

 

i personally think its alot easier than a honda motor. but **** your still getting a good deal. id say go for it.
