ka24det s13 hatch for sale

NOT FOR SALE ANYMORE
_____________________________
decided to keep and attempt to get comfortable driving position!

REASON FOR SELLING: this is my dream car, i just got it a month ago and i love it. however, i am 6'3 and have very long legs, so when my arms are close enough to the steering wheel, my knees are hitting steering column, and when i sit further away, i can't reach the steering wheel very well and my knee hits the ebrake- very uncomfortable. also if i sit up, i dont have enough head room. so there goes my dream.......a great car that i cannot get comfortable in, and when im not comfortable, i cant drive well. thus im selling it.

Damn dude that sucks sorry to hear it. Yer gettin' me worried, man... I'm practically 6'3"-6'4" and I've been drooling over S13's for a good month now trying to find one in good condition to do a ka24det project. Now I drive a Pathfinder so I'm used to having plenty of space... but, is it really that cramped in the 240? I'd hate to be in the same boat in 2-3 months and have to deal with the size of the car being too small

oh ya bump!

Re: Re: ka24det s13 hatch for sale

well personally yes, i believe its that bad! i drive a 200sx daily, and its got a decent amount of room, mainly because the car is taller than the 240sx. the 240sx has a sort of squashed body, to make it look sleek, and thats why nissan cut into your floorpan/seat space with that huge hump, because the tranny/exhaust goes under there. personally i dont like to lay back while driving, which is required to not hit my head, and when i get the perfect angle on my arms, sorta 90 degrees although everyone likes it a little different, my legs are hitting the steering column and ebrake, and are way too close to the pedals! basically, if i wanted to keep the car i would have to extensively modify the interior, im thinking= lowered floor pan on drivers side, move drivers seat back quite a bit, and extend steering wheel/columb maybe a half foot. and my s13 has s14 seats too!..........and as much as i love the car, i dont believe i love it THAT much.
oh yeah, BUMP!

dude sorry to hear bout that but i'm 6'6 and all i did was get a sparco seat with custom sliders. you might want to try that instead of moding the whole floorpan, but i have a s14 not s13

I'm 6'0" and I fit just fine, I can even scoot up a bit to let someone in behind me and still be comfy.
