Ok...um so I was given as 97 240sx SE with everything stock when I was 16...i never liked the car

but as i see in this community, everyone seems to love these things

anyways, i have done nothing to the car (and i know nothing about cars) and i wanna know what kinda options you guys would recommend

this guy at my work is urging me to do a swap SR20DET.....but all i really wanna do is to sell this car and get a G35 or Ford F150 Lightning
all i know is i hate getting beat at stop lights vs 350Z and WRXs... i like to drive 80+ on highways....i dont race it except occasionally at stop lights when it's a 2 lane and i'm first with a sports car next to me...but it hurts my pride when i get beat off the line at stop lights..

what do you guys think?

 

I think racing on the streets is lame; people that do it are lame; I think driving 80+ is a total waste of gas; if I were you I wouldn't even think about swapping any engines, as you said yourself you know nothing about cars

 

I did it when I was 16...not anymore....im 17 and responsible now lol...its just not worth it.

 

sell your car to someone who will appreciate it, grow up and get used to swallowing your pride, it's only going to get worse so learn how to deal with it. You'll have more than enuff change leftover to go buy yourself a nice little crotch rocket that'll run with anything on 4 wheels at a red light. That way you'll wrap yourself around a tree faster and hopefully still be alive enough to learn from it.
