240 or 180

is the only difference between the 180sx and the 240sx the liters? 240 is 2.4 and 180 2.0 and the 180 has a different motor?

US 240's always had a variend of the KA engine, either KA24E (89-90) or the KA24DE (91-98). 180's originally had the CA18DET, then in later years adopted the SR20DET.

180 - jdm - Ca & Sr - Ca=1.8L Sr=2.0L

If you've noticed Nissan names the cars by the engine displacement...

180sx.....1.8L
240sx....2.4L
280z......2.8L
300zx......3.0L
350z.......3.5L

I dont know if I should buy a coupe or hatchback. Need some advice. I'm having some trouble finding a coupe near me but I found a cheap hatchback about 20 miles from me.HELP
