Talking Allow myself to introduce...my...self...crap!

Hello all,

I've finally started with my dream of having a wicked fast 240.
I'm not exactly sure what route I will take with this car except that It will focus on handling more than straightline speed.

I will be going with a sr20det but am not sure at this point if I want to go with the silvia conversion. I've always loved the look of the silvia, but now that I'm driving the car, the pointy nose on the coupes *** is growing on me.

Interior will be very bare bones, stripped. MAYBE I will put all my MBQuart stuff in, but maybe not.

Ultimately, I would like her to be white and black, have form follow function, not the other way around, and just have fun building this awesome car.

I paid $800 for it as you see it and it is my daily driver now that I have sold my 300M.

Anyway, enough blabbering, anyone have a drivers side power window switch assembly? If you do, or know where I can get one off hand, let me know.

I wish you all a day a little left of center!

Thanks guys!

Sil40_Mayhem,

Don't let the pic fool you, there is A LOT of work to be done, there is some rust in some not good locations and quite a few functionality issues.
My first order of business with the car is to get it mechanically sound. I will then disassemble the car and pull it into the body shop to be fully sand blasted and put on a rotisserie. I plan on having quite a few structural modifications such as seam welds, braces etc.
She will then be primed inside and out before being painted a nice racy white.

It would be cool to go with some carbon fiber body parts, but I'm not sure how far I want to go away from factory.
Those carbon fiber parts are nice, but I feel, right now, that the money would be better spent on performance.

oh, i see. well, it sounds like ur going in the right direction w/the car. it's always best to address any existing issues before going *****-to-the-walls with performance mods.

oh yeah, the whole "piggy power" thing is kinda like an inside joke. 89-90 240's have a front bumper with the two inlets in the middle that, to some extent, resembles a pig's nose/snout. so those years are loving referred to as "pignoses". i have a pignose 240, by the way.

Thanks everyone, for the warm welcome.

My current task is to have the rear brakes gone thru.

The rear brakes are in very bad shape, the pads have been warn to nothing and have grooved the rotors horribly.

I will have new wheel bearings, rotors, hoses/lines, wheel studs, and wheel lugs put on. I may even have the calibers blasted and repainted while it is all apart.
I'd like to have the entire rear suspension removed and gone thru as well but I just don't have the cash right now as I have some major issues under the hood.

Anyway, thanks again for the warm welcome.
