Another friggin newb.
Hey I'm jerry. I just sold my 91 celica and felt that the celica community has gone to crap with new ricer homos and ignornt morons. I'm on a hunt for a s13. Are there any questions and/or problems I should be looking for when browsing for a 240? I don't know these forums too well but it would be fun to learn from you guys. fwd helped me learn to grip and I guess its time to see what rwd will teach me.

I've been lookin through the board for a good 3 weeks before I replied. I've also checked out zilvia.net for info as well as a couple other boards. Lots of good info around. I must say that this site is very informative and I'm pleased with all the topics discussed. Other boards discuss things already stickied and I just lose interest in the board. Good stuff
welcome to the boards.
and thanks for noticing. we try to keep the reposting of topics down as much as possible. makes things easier to find, does it not?
oh, and RWD will be a very, very rewarding experience.

"RWD will teach you that FWD taught you NOTHING SON"
...sounds like a line from some deNiro movie LOL
Just joking with ya man.... but welcome to the forums
I came in from the FWD world and I'll tell you - no matter how well you think you can drive an FWD, it's not the same as when you have the rear wheels pushing you everywhere... but I"ll second Sil's comment - once you get the handle of a RWD, it is DEFINITELY a rewarding experience.
Then you'll wonder (like me) how you stayed in the FWD world for soo long.

I have already come to realize the insanity within this board and its pretty addicting. I know I'm probably not going to learn any thing new in driving RWD but hoping it'll make me a better driver and how to take line in a different perspective when I know the weight transfer and the wheel power are totally different from the aspect of FWD. ahh..I feel nostalgic when I remember the times in my 88 corolla wagon. Good times especially in the rain. Gotta get back into rwd!
It must be a disease to get this excited for buying an old car and enjoy driving. Heh.. I know I'm not the only one.
