A few questions
Well a buddy of mine has a 1990 240(completely stock) and hes wanting to trade me for my 1992 honda accord. My car has 194KM(120 miles) and his has 247KM(153 miles). My car is stock aswell. His has a bit of rust around all 4 wheel wells, mine has NONE(just did body job last year). Also, when its in gear(4th i noticed) the shifter moves around in its spot a fair bit, probably 2'' in all directions, is that something to be worried about? It got a new clutch not that long ago, and seems to drive alright but it has something wrong with the passenger side suspension, somethings worn out so it wobbles a little bit. Also, what sort of problems became of 240s? anything to worry about high mileage wise? i've wanted a 240 for a long time now, and this is a good shot at one. thank you for your time.
from your name it sounds like youve wanted one since fast and the furious came out, but besides that.
thats just the 240s ****ty long *** shifter, wobbles and has so much play.
short throw will fix that.
lot of mileage, just for running around stock, heasdgasket is the common issue.
Upper timing chain guide.
worn suspension its like 17 years old, coilovers will fix that. and some subframe bushings most likely are worn.
much more minor stuff, just search around.

It's probably just the 17 year old transmission mount, and the stock sloppy shifter. Otherwise just look for the stuff that Zenkislider posted, watch for rust, get a compression check, look for broken suspension arms/pieces, and just look for the usual stuff you would look for when looking at a used car.
I've been able to throw some some mean fwd drifts in the honda, and from a town of 2000 people, im essientally the best drifter. i've been workin on my drifting for about 2 years now, started with trucks and worked its way into cars. But thanks dudes, i was worried the tranny could have issues because the shifter in my accord doesnt move very much, and this one shaking like a dog ****tin razer blades. dont get me wrong i'm not sayin i can school anyone on this forum in a drift off, i just love the feel of getting sideways and loosing control while being in control. and how did you know it didnt mean donkey kong? Oh and i forgot, he was 700 on top of my accord.
Like my man Bow Wow says "If ya not outta control, ya not in control"
Mean FWD drifts are so cool!!!!!
FFs are easier to get and obviously alot better!
man, i apologize i dont have a rwd car, i just tried getting the basics down with a fwd. i suppose i could perform a huge mod to the accord and make it rwd, but thats highly unlikely. Maybe i can get a kit off ebay and make it rwd, wait even better, i'll make it rear-steer and drift in reverse! try and ask a simple question and all i do is get gummed for my name. but i guess i could have been smarter, dropped out of high school, got a job working midnights at a factory so i could buy a 350z and slam in into a wall while trying to kick the *** out in a wal-mart parking, waste 30 grand on a car. or better yet, spend 1200 on a piece, use the e brake and get a feel for it before i throw the cash into something better. delete this thread, delete my account, and screw u guys im goin home.
ughhhhhhhhhhh............ I hope he's serious.
If youre still here, you CANNOT drift with a FF. Argue all you want. Its not drifting.

Hey coupe, are you serious?
To D K, I encourage you to get this car. I am sorry for flaming you, but it had to be done. Once you get the car and realize how much of a difference it is, you will understand.
