hi
im about to get my first car, or actually first purchase of a car (im driving some old pos my dad gave me). anyways ive been looking on auto trader and there's been a very good deals and i think the 240sx is the best bang for the buck. Here's the one i've been looking at
its a 1993 hatchback, its got a 95 engine with 97 000kms / 60 273miles and some new parts.
the guys wants 6800CDN / 5864US and he's pretty firm about it
do u guys think this is a good deal?
i really want to buy a 240sx and this one looks perfect
the only thing thats holding me back right now is that he lives in a different city than me. its about a 2 hour drive, so i want to have as much info i can get about this car. i just dont want to spend 4 hours driving there and back and not come back with a 240
thanks for the help

Well, it sounds like a great deal.. actually.
I'm just going to let you know though, that 240 is pretty close. It's hard to find one for sale these days that is close to you. I got lucky and stumbled upon mine in the city I lived in. Honestly though, I would take it. Who cares if it's a couple hours away? You won't regret it.

If the car is in Canada, be careful on what you are getting into. They have different laws than ours. 6k for a 1993 is a little steep. A good, clean low milegae s-13... I wouldn't pay more than??? What does the car retail for? Check kellybluebook.com to give you a starting point. Even if it is a newer motor, that's a little steep. These cars are demanding high prices because of the demand for them. They are not worth the price but the demand dictates the price. You can do want you want, though. Good luck on your search. I would just estimate in the 1500-4500 range. More, obviously, with mods and a swap done
Yes, the laws in Canada are different than here. You can import a skyline to Canada without doing all of the things we have to do here. As far as buying a 240 in Canada and bringing it here, you had better check with the Canadian government and the us government about customs and duties($$$) and the tranfer of title. I know that you cannot go to Canada, buy a car and bring it back across the border without some kind of B.S. At the very least there is paperwork to do. I'm not saying it cannot be done but make sure before you buy.
