Got some 240 questions (I'm new, hello)

I have been lookin and dreaming about 240sx'd for quite I while now So I decided to join this forum to learn some more. Right now I'm only 16 (jr. in hischool) and have 97 Maxima which has a few mods to it. But what I want to do when I'm out of college or even sooner is a 240 project. So tell me what you think. I would LOVE to get a 97-98 240sx and then do a SR20DET (ya ya like everyone else). But I have so many questions. First of all, how much more expensive is the 97-98 going to be compared to the 95-96?.when I get the new engine in I would plan on doing a big T3/T4 setup. But to be honest I dont know TOO much about turbos b/c me and all my friends are modding N/A. But If I did this I know there are TONS of other things neeeded to safely run it like intercoolers, etc. My question is roughly how much would the T3/T4 cost and ALL of the other things needed to run it? I would also do some deep dish rims and other aesthetic stuff but thats self explanitory.

And lastly some more outlining questions...
1)how much did you 97-98 or 95-96 cost you?
2)how much was your sr20det and whered you get it?

Thanks for your time.

I decided I am slightly obsessed with the 97 and 98 240SX's.

I see a lot of 95's and 96's going for anywhere from $3,000 to $9,000. (I assume you would want it to be all stock when you buy it.) For a low price, the car is beat up a bit with higher mileage. For a higher price, the car has lower mileage and fewer scratches and dings. When I say lower and higher mileage, you have to remember, a 95 and 96 will be 10 and 9 years old already if you bought it now, so lower mileage might mean less than 100,000 while higher mileage might mean more than 140,000.

1997's go for more usually since they are rarer and have a bit nicer, more aggressive look in the front end. I've seen them go for around $5,000 with high miles to over $12,000 with low miles.

The 1998's seem to be even a little more expensive since they are quite a rare car so the lowest price I recall seeing on it was maybe around $8,000 but it goes way up from there.

Hope this answers your questions. I wish I had the money for a nice car when I was 16!

(In EXACTLY one week I will be driving a basically mint condition 1998 Nissan 240SX SE! I am living my dream at last! I am paying for it though. It only has 51,000 miles and it has the 5-speed. It is costing me $11,600 dollars and I am flying from PA to TX to get it and rive it back. To me...it is worth every penny.)

It's a three stage pearl white he said. Three stage I suppose means three coats were put on? The way I see it, I will be broke for awhile after I buy it. So I probably will leave it all stock for a long while. Maybe after I put some serious miles on it I will swap engines but for now I am fine with the way it is. Hopefully everything goes well.

I'll put pictures of it on here soon.

You have a long search ahead of you so take your time and make good decisions. I looked for a kouki for 6months and stumbled across a zenki from GA with NNNOOO Rust.

PS. I'm from NY so I value that. Goodluck!!!
