Hey all!!!

Hello, my name is Adam, and I am new to the whole discussion board thing.... I have read many posts, and feel that this could be a VERY good networking tool, as well as a great source of information. I have a 93 240 hatchback, into which I am installing a RB20DET. I will post a few pics early next week. At any rate, I have ran into a few problems.... the company that I purchased the motor and tranny from broke several sensors, and did not include other key componants. I am also having to customize motor mounts and other such items. I have an SE edition, so there are some good and bad points to starting with this one. I am afraid that it will be a long project to get it up to speed for compitition drifting. However, it should be quiote a fun daily driver until then... I think that you have done a great job with this site so far from what i have seen. I think that I have already made some anxious rookie mistakes with my car though... LOL For example, I think that I would like to stay between 4 and 500 hp for maximum drifting performance, but went out and bought the biggest, and baddest intercooler I could find. It is rated for 1025 HP. Oh well, live and learn. Thank you for this great resource. I hope to learn, and also share any knowledge that may be of assistance to anyone else. Thanx again, Draco

thanx for the info, however I have already built a custom set of motor brackets to which I incorporated the original 240 mounts. I chose not to go with the pre-fab design, because I wanted the motor to sit low enough not to have to cut the skeleton on the hood. Even with an aftermarket blow-off valve, that sits on top of the valve cover, the only mod to the hood needed was to put a 1/8 inch spacer between the hood and the hinges. I suppose that I should have said I am choosing to manufacture mounts instead of "have to " sorry, my bad.

welcome to the forums! you can use the r32 crossmember and the rb20 tranny mount, both bolt up to the s13 chassis and work well. driveshaft goes right in too.
