Hey Guys
Hey Guys
Just figured I would introduce myself and my project, which some may and may not like.
I recently acquired a 1990 240sx. I got it for $500, and its just fine. Had 140k on the clock. I took the engine and 5 speed manual out of the car and sold the tranny to a friend for $200, the engine has yet to sell, but I think I have a buyer. Therefore, it's a very cheap project car.
I plan to put a mildly built 500 ci. Cadillac Engine in the car. I was looking for something like 380-400 whp and 500 ft lbs. of torque. These engines are made just for that, torque. They were used in the '70's Cadillacs, and YES, they were 500 cubes.
I am very familiar with this engine, and have one in my 1976 Cadillac Eldorado. This car, all of 5200 lbs, contains a 550 horse, 600 ft. lbs of torque Cadillac engine and runs high 13's in the quarter, naturally aspirated.
Anyways, I simply plan to do this car for a fun, simple project. The 500 Caddy coupled to a TH400 ought to do pretty well as a fun street car, and with it being so light, will have a great power to weight ratio.
Anyways, I guess that's my little story. This is a real great site you guys have here!

I believe we've met already.
