Hey Im new

Hows it going guys... Im thinking about getting a 240 as a project car. My old man had a 350z for about a year and ever since I wanted a 240 (so I could compete with him). Anyways. He sold the damn thing for an M3 which blows my current car out of the water in terms of handling, so I want to get a better handling car. I have the money, time, and garage space to do this, and Im going to do it. Are there any other good links for 240's? I am probably going to swap in an sr instead of building up the KA. BTW Im looking at an S13 as well. Thanks a lot.

Welcome to the dreams

Not to rain on your parade...but it will be pretty tough for a 240 to compete with a 350, and a M3 even harder.

I thought these things were supposed to be a dream on the auto cross. Im willing to invest more in suspension than into the engine haha.

The 240 is an awesome handling car, for its age and technology. Know matter how much you sink into the suspension components, its still going to be of the same basic design. The M3's suspension design has the advantage of about 12 years of new engineering and technology on the 240, therefore the basic design is going to be better. Now I'm sure a modded-suspension 240 will fare well against a stock M3 (depending on driver), but a modded M3 is simply amazing.

Of course I could be completely wrong, but this is my opinion.

I agree. Buy an s14 and stick with the good ol Ka. If you want more hp, simply add a turbo. Sr is good too.
