Talking hey new member.

hey to all my name is pete and i am new to the 240 world. I am sixteen years old and own a 04 cbr 600rr and looking into a KA-t very soon this weekend perhaps. My family owns all nissans and i just pratically became a fan. Awesome reliable cars. I live in nothern new jersey and am looking at a car in queens. Some questions to ask about pricing. Here are the details
1995 nissan 240sx 143,000 front end converted to 97 silvia.
ka orignal motor with a turbo
intercooler
all suspension work done with new coilovers and sway bars.
boost controller all the goodies etc...
front bumper cracked rear bumper scrapped up
needs new steering rack
windshield cracked and no a/c.
asking 7ish also the guy was a moderater on 240sx forums and was one of the first to break 300 hp with the stock ka. He was an engine moderator and tech.(if telling truth) i believe him talked to him 30 minutes on the phone

hard trying to ask to borrow 7 grand from your parents. Even though i work as a busboy for all my toys! when they dont understand why you would wantt his scrathcted up car. Love of the culture and thats why im here. appreciate your input thanks pete.

Welcome to the forums.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a car that is that heavily modified, usually leads to more headaches than anything, but if you like it, go for it.

Do you know what the guys forum s/n was?

not sure he got out of 240's because he bought a nsx. But he runs the boost at a safe level and he told me he always runs it moderate. He told me he always adjusted the cars air ration and had it tuned plentity of times. Just talking to the guy i could get a sense of how well he took car of it and who said i was paying 7 grand haha maybe 5900ish ^-^

Welcome aboard. I second bryan's comment about not buying a heavily modded car, you never really know what you're getting yourself into. Plus, making your own modifications is half the fun!

You could ride a bike at 16 over here, 15 if it's 50cc or less. Seems like the guy set up the car to last though.
