Why is it everyone "New to the "Insert Mustang, Import, Euro" Scene" always asks about making 500+ hp? I mean I drive a 350hp Mustang and 300 is MORE than enough in something like an S-chassis. ESPECIALLY if you have to ask what you need or ask for a parts list. I hate to see people get discouraged becuase they want some ungodly amount of hp and run out of cash before they meet it. Power is expensive, how fast can you AFFORD to go?

/end of rant

maybe i asked for 500hp because thats what i wanted.if i wanted 300hp i would have asked for 300.i am new to the import scene.all i have ever owned was amer.made.its a lot different building a 400hp 351 windsor for my 83 gt mustang than trying to get 500 out of an rb25.if i wanted a smart aleck answer i would ask one of my exes.

Chili,

I meant no offense towards you personally. There was no background on your plans for the car, no background on what you've built before, nothing. For all I knew by your post you were some 15y/o kid interested only in bench racing and the closest you ever came to a fast car was "that one car I raced in GT4....." In today's day and age kids start in the Import world then move to the oldschool american iron so I take any "I want XXXhp, how do I get it?" posts to be from someone completely green to the world of cars. I'm sorry if I offended you with my comments but look at it from my shoes.

BTW got any pics of the GT? I'm a big fan of the fox body especially 4 eyes.

Chili,

If you have specific questions on your build PM me I have a few friends with rb25 240's and I can ask. Did you look at the link that I posted in this thread?

500hp and 500hp reliably are two entirely different things. If you want that much power, you're better off with a different motor IMO. V8 would suit well
