Yup, another new guy. Been reading the forums the past couple of days before i posted to get a little more knowledge on the 240's.
But on to the more important stuff. I'm looking into buying an S13 hatch SE, roughly 93. Plan on a drift "setup" so coming as close to 50/50 as possible is my goal.
First thing i'll be doing is getting either a sr20 or the rb25 swap. i'm really looking into the 25, however the price of just the clip before isntall outweights a couple of 20 clips i've found. Most likely i'll be going with the 20, but i have a couple of questions about the engine, and my "setup" in general.
What's the max Psi i can run safely on the stock turbo in the 20, and what would you guys say the max safe psi for the engine would be on the stock internals?
I'm assuming the internals on the 20 are forged already?
Also, for a drift style setup, would you recommend i find a VLSD for the SE, or getting something else?
Oh, and i'm planning on roughly 350-400 at the wheels as my goal, how much more forging would i have to do to the block with 400 at the wheel? I know i said it's going to be a project car, but i want it to be able to play with it next summer.
I'm sure i missed a couple of questions that i was thinking about, but those are my main concerns for the project, any help would be greatly appreciated, and i appologize in advance if i missed an answer to a question, i'm horrible at searching on forums so just smack me and i'll be on my merry way to find it myself lol.

weight distribution for an S13 fastback is roughly around 53/43 out the box...
SR20DET vs RB25DET: RB25DET in my opinion is a motor for dragging....
max psi to boost on a stock SR20DET is 13psi with stock sidemount intercooler...
if you're planning to drift...don't even think about a VLSD...i'd save up the extra money and get a 4pinion

I guess i better rephrase, i want the car setup well for drifting, but i want something quick at the track too. So, yeah...i'll probably just settle on 350 at the wheels..but on the subject of money, how much do you think that would run after i do the SR20DET swap?
