i'm 17, good to see another person my age on this board. i was working at pacsun for a 1 1/2 years then got a job at best buy. when i just turned 16 i bought my s13 for 1700. i had 5k saved up, so i ordered my t3/t4 & stance gr+ pro's before i even bought the car. bought the car slapped the coils on, sold the turbo to buy all the rest of my suspention parts/wheels and now i bought a GT271R and basicly a full kit. only things that i'm missing is a wideban, turbo timer, boost controler, and guages. should be put on and running by the time i'm 18 which is pretty soon. i so better hop on that..lol

thanks, i started saving when i was 14. doing side work blew, got the job at pacsun. i was making $6.50 making roughly $350 a month for the longest but never spent a lick of it. moved to best buy started making $9.50 and roughly about $1,100 a month on average. huge upgrade i'd say...tickets n **** lately have kept me from completeing my setup. sucks reall bad but i'm getting there.

When I was 16 I was ready to buy my ae86... but my mom thought I was going to kill someone and she didnt want to be responsible so I didnt get my liscence or my car until I was 18..... then I crashed my 86 and wasted all 7g's I had saved up on stupid crap.

Consider yourself lucky your allowed to drive.... my teenage years sucked. Just be smart about it and your car will be really nice. Good luck.

Correction, it should be suspension and brakes first, then wheels, if you want to go that route. Always provide yourself with the essentials to make sure your car handles decently and that you can stop. Never forget that part bro.

Yesh!

You dont need ballin *** brake setup if all you do is putt around the street. If you occasionally hit the track or do crazy ish in the street then upgrade the pads and lines, maybe get new rotors or get your stocks resurfaced (if you go 5lug you should get new rotors anyway). Hawk HP+ feels so nice after break in. You can e-brake like cake too. Plus they are much cheaper than that project mu drift/d1/whatev stuff.
