New to the forum

HI, I m new to the forums and i dont have a 240 yet, but I am eyeing a s14 that is an auto and I was wondering how much it would cost from a shop for a 5sp swap or if its worth buying a 5sp car instead.

If you don't have the car yet, look for a 5 speed. Do you have any mechanical ability?

yea, I'm thinking it would be better to buy a 5sp. s14 outright, even though 5sps seem to be more then autos everywhere I look. Thanks, and I'll post up pics whenever, if i ever do, find a s14 i want. Im so sick of driving around in a honda.

nope .. on the car market manual cars are cheaper but private it doesnt matter.

what you are seeing is inflation of 240 prices due to the scene now

you can do an auto to manual swap very cheap. check out the drive train section.. welcome

My car was automatic. Transmission was shot so someone went ahead and converted it. Didn't do a bad job, they just left the stock automatic brake pedal. Looks horrible and gets in my way sometimes. I need to get one from a junkyard somewhere.

Welcome, man. Good luck with the car search. heh heh I know a few people who would stab you in your jaw for saying:

That's what I did, but you're going to need a saws-all or something like that. I started off with a hacksaw and after 5 minutes said **** that.
