welcome, and doing a 5 speed swap is not easy. getting a full engine swap will make it easier but the tranny is not a direct fit, you will have to put a clutch in the actual car and shifter. not worth it.

oh yeah, welcome, I dont have a 240 either...yet

What the hell is wrong with you? The tranny is a direct fit, you just need the manual crossmember. The shifter takes, what, one and a half seconds to put in? And it took me all of an hour to get my clutch pedal and master cylinder in. It is worth it.

 

I agree, at first, I would have been hesitant, but I've seen this done on BMW 540i's, BMW 745i's, Volvo 740 Turbos, 240sx's, 300zx's and RX7's just to name a few. In neither case was it ever a "difficult" procedure, the actually concourse comes into play when you realize that the money you'll have to spend may not be what you expected.
