New here, just got 1995 240.

Well, I'm obviously new here. My name's Philip and I just bought a 1995 240sx. I had a 1994 Maxima and learned what NOT to do with a car, so having a car that I actually care about is pretty exciting. I've been wanthing this car since I started driving (I'm 17 now) and the Maxima died, and it just so happened my uncle had a near perfect 240, and he finally decided to sell it. Ever since I was a little kid I wanted to learn about cars, and how everything works, but all of that kind of died out when I started skateboarding and found interests in other things. Hopefully I can start learning some things and one day be able to work on the car myself. I've already learned a lot searching around here, so I'll continue that.

So, just wanted to introduce myself, say hi. Hope the people are nice on here, hah.

welcome to the forums~ I used to ride bikes (freestyle, street, etc.) a lot. But when I got my license, the concept of pedaling up a hill suddenly became foreign to me~ lol. Good luck with the new car, Zenki's rule! and uh... yeah the guys around here aren't very nice, but they're no meaner than any of the other forums.

Yeah, that's kinda what I figured. The only message board I've been on is the skateboardermag ones, and those are the nicest people I've come a long on a message board.

I always wanted to learn to ride freestyle bikes, but never got around to it. Kinda scary too... I prefer flying down sets of stairs and landing on a tiny piece of wood.

Oh, and if anyone knows of a good starting point for me, that would be greatly appreciated. Like I said, I don't really know much about cars at this point.

Just read everything you can get your hands one~ I started out with car magazines. You read the stuff enough times, and then all of a sudden you start remembering names of parts and what they do. As for skateboarding, yeah I never got into skateboarding 'cuz it was the hardest friggin' thing to ever do~ there's no handles on the damn thing and it's hard enough just standing on it let alone trying to jump over stuff with it. Snowboarding though, is something else.

Welcome to the forums!! hmm.... I guess the first thing you could learn is the difference between the different models of 240's in the states. And then learn which model we didn't release in the state. Also what engines came in the cars in the different countries.

Ok without spoon feeding you the information that should be a start for a new 240 owner. Since a lot of people commonly are talking about different model 240's it's very helpful to know what there talking about.
