Hi everyone, I'm currently shopping around for a car to replace my 93 Honda Civic coupe. I love my car for its reliability and great handling, but the noise of an econobox and the association with the younger crowd is getting to me.

So after searching around and really looking at what appeals to me I've come down to 2 choices: 97-98 240SX LE or a 98-01 Honda Prelude. I've always been a big fan of both cars and they seem to meet what I'm after -- sporty car with great handling (and some refinement too) in a price range that's affordable for me. S14 240's are very rare around here (finding one with a manual tranny is even harder) but I've come across one with incredibly low mileage that I'm considering.

So I've come on board here to research as much as I can on the 240SX so I know exactly what I'm getting into before I make a decision.

Oh, and I also autocross.

Thanks.

Yeah, welcome.

I've always loved preludes, but for me their cost is too high and too many people rice them out. I love my cheaper 240, it may not be as fast but I love it's handling and it's not a honda.

Any questions about the car you're looking @?

welcome aboard. i used to like 'ludes quite a bit back in the day. i liked the lines and heard that they had decent handling. and the last generation ludes i thought were the best looking. it had me thinking "long hood, short rear... yeah!! honda got it right and made it RWD!!" then i popped the hood of one. i was crushed, but then along came a lady named Silvia...
