Wierd huh? (long)
local 90' 240sx SE hatch.
i've been driving by this car on my way to work for the past month. it was just sitting behind some ladys house for the longest time..and then the other day i noticed that it has been moved..it now sat in front of the house in the grass..no for sale sign or phone number.. so i thought about it for a few days..and i decided to stop and ask about it, because i've been looking to buy a 240 for a while now. so i stop and ask this lady "whats the deal with that nissan you got out there?" she said "nothing really,it was my neighbors car but he left me the title." i guess she still talks to the owner..anyways she invited me inside ..i get in there and theres like 9 dogs all over the place with crap and everything all over and this ***** is a total slob..so we get to talking about the car..i ask "so do you want to get rid of it?"
she said "well yeah, ill just give it to you" im like "WhaWhat!?"
she said "yeah ill just give it to you..im not sure but i think it needs a headgasket and i dont have the keys"
i said ok,can you get the keys for it anytime soon because im really interested...so we called the guy with the keys and left as message. for some reason i didnt expect him to call back. and then i started to sense this womens stupidity and this is when i started to run (even though she already offered it to me for free)
anyways..i ended up going home with the Signed Title..and then i ask a few friends what i should do now..wait for the guy to come up with the keys and then go pick it up? or should i just tow that thing outta there asap? I TOWED IT! so i got this thing at my house now..paid $70 for the tow.
i called her back a little later and asked if she talked to the guy with the keys yet....nope.
so i ordered a new ignition/keys from the napa i work at..that will run me about $80 if i decide to buy it...this is the alternative if the guy doesnt come up with the keys in the next couple of days.
so i got this 90' 240sx SE hatchback sitting in my driveway ...i gave it a quick lookover in/out because it was starting to get dark.
i have tuesday off so ill take pics and look it over again.
Specs/Condition:
1990 Nissan 240SX SE Hatch
Black Ext. with some clearcoat flakes and a bunch of minor dents
Grey cloth Int. with some burnholes/tears and lots of dust/dirt
KA24E single cam
5 spd trans
4 lug hubs, rear discs,no sunroof,flat tire,etc.
needs new driver side fender ..hit somewhat hard on driver side front ..lights still go up/down just need some minor repair.
i dont think it would hurt to get a new front bumper also..just to save some work.
This is all i can think of for now.. please reply with your thoughts/comments ,etc.
i will update this thread when i can.
for now i will search and learn more about this car.
