yo was good people.... jus wantted to say sup to all mah nissan luvers out there... for ur community is now one stronger today anyways, i'm still a noob and my first question isn't abbout the furom but about my engine, and the question goes as is... "can i swap a ka24de from a 97 altima to my 91 240? if no, why not? thanks for ur time and i apologize for the question.. but u only learn by asking

Welcome to the forums

You could do that...but it will be a hassel. You need to change the mounts, headers and etc. Just get a 240sx KA and you will be set.

welcome. i'm also thinking that it would be a hassle w/the whole FWD -> RWD thing. like wouldn't accessories like the altenator and starter be in somewhat weird positions? and i know the dsm's 4G63 is tapped and drilled to be mounted for both applications, but is the KA24? in my less-than-professional opinion, just seems like more trouble than it's worth. like my homie said, it would be simpler to just use one from a newer 240.

hey, thanx for the quik respons u guys... the reason i askd was cuz my boy got the altima but was soon involved in an "incident" lets leave it at that and the only option he has left is to junk the car... the engine is perfect and i also read somewhere that it is the ka24de, so i gots to thinkin and i jus had to ask. appreciat the tip and i'll be postin pics soon...
