Hey, I got a red 1989 240sx for sale in/around Central New Jersey. The car runs but has a few problems. The car has a knocking noice that developed about a week ago, i have not been able to check it out so im not sure whats wrong with it. Another thing is it has a electrical problem, the previous owner said that when he was replacing the battery he accidentally reversed the terminals for a second and now the car has no power when it is off, but once you start it and rev it up 1 time all electronics come on and stay on until you turn it off. The last problem is that the car is blowing blue smoke. I was told that the previous owner replaced the head so i am assuming that he messed up the head gasket when he put it on, i dont think the block is cracked because the compression read 160, 150, 150, 160 across all 4 cylinders. The car interior is pretty clean it also has a new clutch installed and the car shifts great. This car is a good canidate for a SR20 swap! The car does have the usual small dings and scratches here and there but thats normal for a almost 20 yr old car. I do belive the a/c works but the belt is not connected to the a/c compressor so i am not sure if it does or not, the heat works GREAT. Also the muffler fell off but i will include it with the car.
