Autopower Roll Bar [Pics]

Autopower Roll Bar [Pics]
Well,
To better prepare the car for track use I installed an Autopower roll bar this weekend. Install was kind of a pain, since I had to remove the front and rear seats to do it. But, I knew I would have to do that going into it and set aside the whole day for it.
Here's how it came out:

Honestly, I don't even remember for sure how much it cost. I paid for it, then had to pay another $111 for shipping when it was delivered a month later. It was part of a group deal and I think it was around $320 or $330 for the bar with the removable cross brace and harness bar.

Mine was unpainted. Autopower says not to expect a painted one to still be painted when it makes it to you - that their paint is just basically to keep their stock from rusting.
I don't think mine was bent. It kind of went in a little weird, I had to push it back a bit to get one of the rear attachment points to meet the wheel well properly. But, my car has 150k on it, and has been in a fender bender or two. The bar didn't have any obvious physical signs of abuse and it was not far enough off to justify another wait for a replacement that may fit my car the same way -so I just took my time, drilled the holes and bolted that sucker in.
The hole in the trim panel on the other side is much worse than the one pictured. I really hacked the other panel... but then I used it to make measurements on the panel that came out less horrible.
BTW, I saw the pictures from the meet, how tall are you? I would **** if I saw you climb out of your lowered 240.

Stanbo, were you part of the group buy that they ran?
I really didn't need the bar yet, but would want one eventually and couldn't pass up the savings.
It took a couple of days to get used to seeing the crossbar in my rearview mirror. My back three windows are tinted dark, and the bar is not really visible from outside the car. I think it would be cool to see it, but it also may attract the wrong kind of attention on a car that is otherwise (except for the exhaust) low-key.
