I really didn't need the bar yet, but would want one eventually and couldn't pass up the savings.

It took a couple of days to get used to seeing the crossbar in my rearview mirror. My back three windows are tinted dark, and the bar is not really visible from outside the car. I think it would be cool to see it, but it also may attract the wrong kind of attention on a car that is otherwise (except for the exhaust) low-key.

Yeah I was down with the groupbuy. Were you?

I ****ed up and forgot to order padding. Then again I don't have my car now anyway so I have time to get it now.

I was in the group buy. I didn't order padding either. But the more I looked at race cars, the padding is only on tubing that passes past the main hoop of the roll bar. Cars with cages didn't have any padding on tubing behind the driver.

If I ever plan on having passengers in the rear again, I will need to add padding... but I think I have had an occupant in that seat for maybe 30 minutes of the two years I've owned the car... and now with the crossbar to remove, it would be easier for me to just take the civic if I need a 3rd or 4th seat.

Nice I am good friends with the guys at dgtrials and I am happy you are doing well with your roll bar.

I am going to do the same. Just the hoop around the driver will get padding.

Haha. Hey, tall guy, my hoop is a few inches behind the driver.

I just bought some Schroth harnesses Friday and put them in Saturday. WooHoo! I can put my seat back a little further now that I don't need to brace myself against the door/console with my knees.
