Drop Zone coilovers

Does anybody know anything about these coilovers or had the experience to ride in a car with a set on?

I am not a fan of coilover sleeves period. I would either go shocks & spring combo, or full on coilovers. I've heard good and bad things about GC's, mostly that its a bumpy ride.

Dropzone = you get what you pay for, which isn't much.
GC = ok if you upgrade your stock shocks, but won't be the same as a full coilover system.

How about a set of, say, Whitelines and AGX shocks? Do you really need "coilovers" or are you looking for a 1.0-2.0" max drop?

i want to balance out drop and perfomance. i found intrax makes good springs they drop 2" front 1.8"rear. My friend had intrax for a car he used to have not a 240sx and it had a wicked drop with a very good quality ride. i think ill stick to those in the future

Keep in mind that anything lower than 1" will throw your camber off, and even if it feels like a good ride, stock shocks will wear faster because they're not designed to work with the car that low

With GC there are two flavors or more usually. Most people mismatch the shocks and get the bumpiness. They are more for show than go I'd say, not that they are a bad street setup on a budget. I used a kit of their's and it was a decent setup using 24 way SPAX on a VR6 GTI. The only problem was the sleeves would 'clunk' sometimes which can be fixed by shimming and adhesive.

Yea, I had GC sleeves on my old '89 Accord. I didn't really like them. Super bumpy, it was a pain to adjust them and the stock shocks just didn't like them. I'll never go to a sleeve setup again no matter what the brand.
They did make it corner better though, as long as the corner wasn't too bumpy.

Lightbulb word for thought

coil overs are good for LOOKs and it very much depends on who makes them (note) if your trying too go for performance: full covers is a must but if your on a bugdet try mix matching springs with struts for the road feel! some springs like progress will get your car lowered but the springs feel too weak!..
---------------------------mostcommon----------------------------------------
{springs}
eibach (lil bit more stronger)-good
progress(weak too soft for the ride)-kind of weak for racning
H&R(nice firm feel)-great for daily driving semi racing
Megan Racing(nice and firm) A-OK not too weak not too strong
coil overs.

{shocks/struts}
KYB -FULLY ADJUSTABLE
TOKIKOS-FULLY ADJUSTABLE
(very good shock absorbtion)
{make sure THEM ADJUSTABLE}

{full coil overs}
TEINS HE (A+) perfect for drift set up
Tanabe SS (kazuya bai's line of performance)perfect drift set up A+
.u loose a good inch in shock travel there for all coilovers =[BOUNCY] ride. Lowering any car 1 in or more means u GO buy camhber kit lol.
im a mechanic for ROBOTEK MOTORSPORTS and i deal with all this so i know quite a bit in tunning suspension...well it all depends FOR looks or for performance thats what really matters!
