I really need to start doing my job again here @ club240.

I always wondered about the fitment of those Ebay "real cold air intake" systems, and from the pictures posted by Waynehead, it doesn't look bad at all. IIRC Those CAI systems run about $120ish on Ebay?

Compared to a complete CAI system from Injen, you're talking a good $100-$130 savings. True, with Injen you get the CARB E.O. plate and a couple of stickers, but other than in California, that CARB E.O. is meaningless.

In reference to Phantom thinking it wasn't a real cold air (LOL I pick on him a lot sometimes ahaha!) he does have a valid point of reference - for the longest time, a lot of vendors were selling short ram intake systems as "COLD AIR" because that was the keyword for upgrade. However, with about 1 minute of research and another 5 seconds of observation, you can easily tell by looking at the Ebay picture if the product is a real 'to the fender' CAI, or just a short ram-style lebelled "Cold Air".

I was thinking of getting that real cold air setup like Waynehead, but the SR swap plan keeps telling me to hold off LOL!

well raine if you had read all of my posts, i said that i needed it assembled to tell. I didnt know how it all set up. lol. yeah you do pick on me a lot. i was thinking about either doing

on a side note, an update on my car, when i take my front bumper off to paint the car i might make a hard piped cold air duct in the vent under the bumper lights (a common mod), but im going to have the welders at work make me a cup to be an exact fit for the vent, making it more effective. that or get the cold air intake and one of those cheapo electric "superchargers" (hey anything that helps the 240's asthma is good right?) Raine, what do you think about the idea of painting my 240 yellow pearl (not obnoxious HIN yellow, more of a pearl c5 corvette yellow) with a black top, hood, and headlight covers. Im eventually gonna get a CF hood. I might paint the headlight covers yellow too. whatchu think?
